So me and my mom left right after school on Tuesday to drive to West Virginia where my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins live. We had to leave early because there was going to be this huge snowstorm in West Virginia in the afternoon so if we had waited we would have gotten stuck in it. For the first night I stayed at my grandmas and then for three days I stayed at my cousins, then I spent the last night at my grandmas. Throughout the trip I did a lot of shopping with my cousin, my aunt, my mom, and my sister. We spent like an entire day in one store, it was crazy.... I also ended up going to my second cousin's bridal shower (who I had never met before). Anyway for thanksgiving we went to my Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mike's house. They used to have an indoor pool but they turned it into a huge living room where all the guys play football every thanksgiving. I didn't feel too well but I ate a bunch of food anyway. There were sooo many leftovers I don't know what they did with them all but there was entirely too much food this thanksgiving. For the rest of day we just hung out. My uncles watched the steelers and ravens game which they weren't too happy about... my family is the only that are ravens fans, everyone in WV likes the steelers. After that I played basketball and a couple of rounds of apples to apples with my cousins. Once we got everyone together we did a family photo shoot with everyone since my cousin is a photographer. After that all the girl cousins did a few cheerleading stunts. We also talked a lot about the the teen USA pageant at the Bahamas since we're all going (my cousin won missWVTeenUSA). Overall thanksgiving this year was a lot of fun. I'm thankful for my entire huge family, for all my friends, and for the Christian school I get to attend:)
20 time this quarter is going so much better. I've gotten two responses and one person actually emailed me back with answered questions! YES! It's also kinda weird... ever since I started tweeting all these famous guitar players, all these random guitar players that I don't know have started following me, not sure if they want me to send them the questions or not? Ive also been keeping up with actually learning to play guitar. I know how to play three songs now and my calluses are tough so I think Im doing ok. Overall 20 time is going really well and so far I have stuck with my schedule of getting tasks done.
The verse for this week is Colossians 3:12-18. I lived out this verse this week by showing compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience towards all my family members at thanksgiving. This verse is extremely important for us Christians. Sometimes we forget what it means to be a Christian. I know I have several family members that aren't Christians. It's important that no matter what, we always portray compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
