Break is almost here...

Thank goodness break is almost here! So last week was like freezing compared to the weather now... Gosh maryland weather. And now it's like 70° degrees outside yet were still expecting 3-6 inches of snow the day after tomorrow... How is that possible. Anyways last week I made a lot of progress on the college sites. I finally got my buttons to start working so you can actually see them. I also made a lot of progress on 20 time both this week and last week. I've been looking at a lot of travel blog sites and have found several successful and professional people to contact. They all seem to have the same story on their bios though, 'I was working a boring job and decided I wanted a better life so I quit my job and decided to travel the world'...I have a feeling there is more to the story than that. I've also been researching how often they get asked to visit a country free of charge in exchange for a positive blog post. It appears that they get a few of them but most of the places travel bloggers go are chosen by them, they are not asked to go there. Overall I want to specifically look in to seeing if there are any bloggers out there who go to 'off the beaten track' vacation spots. I think the best travel blog would entail descriptions of places that literally no one has ever heard of. No ones going to want to hear another review of Paris and the Eiffel Tower, because they either already know or have been there themselves.
As for thanksgiving break, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that feels its way to short. I mean a half day before the actual holiday? Most schools got out for the entire week...rant over. My plans for break are to babysit Wednesday. The family I babysit for has their family over so instead of babysitting 2 girls, I'm babysitting 3 girls and 2 twin boys...pray I survive:/ For thanksgiving, the plan is to drive up to my Grandparents on Thursday but with a 3 hour drive and the prospect of snow I'm not entirely sure that's going to happen. However if we do arrive safely the plan is to eat dinner at my uncles house with the whole family.
As for ODMs I signed up today but may switch my classes around, anyways I signed up for the human trafficking class with Mrs.Griffin, cake decorating class with Mrs.Barnesly, Creative writing, and Spanish cuisine with Mrs.Dayhoff.
Challenges faced this past week would include driving to the mall by myself for the first time. It was rough but I didn't run into anyone so its ok. Another challenge faced was the English test which, despite previously thinking I had failed it, actually did pretty well. The last challenge faced was getting the buttons to work on expression web.
Successes of this past week would include improvements on my 20 time project. Also seeing mocking jay part 1 in theaters was pretty great. Another succes was of course getting the interactive buttons on the site to actually show up. The last success was getting this blog done -_-
My plans for next week are to continue progress on my 20 time project and start getting in contact with some of the bloggers. I'm also planning to finish up the college sites and do some Christmas shopping finally maybe on Black Friday?

3 DayWeekend

Overall this past week was a rough one...end of quarter 1! However Halloween at the end of the week made it better. Went out with a bunch of crazy friends and got tons of candy so it's all good:)
Overall last week was crammed. All the teachers were trying to squeeze as much into quarter 1 so naturally I had a test or quiz for every class throughout the course of 4 days. In computer we worked on our college sites. Most of the time last week I spent looking at the campuses on google earth...and exploring other places. Currently I'm still trying to figure out how the button works, mine never seems to show up entirely, only the words and no actual tab so... In English we did a project on the characters from the Canterbury tales. My group had the friar, parson, monk, nun and another one I can't remember. We had to make a PowerPoint on them and draw a picture of what we think they would have looked like based on the description given...yaaaa I can't draw, especially not people.
Challenges faced last week would include tackling multiple tests coupled with cross country and worship team, it was exhausting. Luckily I'm in my last week of cross country ever ;(still kinda sad) anyway when it's over I'll finally be able to relax... Another challenge faced was literally the coldest cross country meet of the year, and to make it even better my alarm didn't go off at 6 in the morning on Saturday so I was extremely late:/ so when we got there no one knew where the course was because it was hardly marked and we were all freezing and it actually started raining a little...rough day but we all went out to eat afterwards so:)
Successes of this past week include -surviving quarter one despite disastrous grades -last week of cross country -mapping out my college sites for computer and -possibly interning with my cousin who is a pre k teacher!!!
My plans for the upcoming week include playing guitar at youth group, the Surland's bonfire, chapel and church on Sunday...yikes. Senior pictures Thursday. Cross country meet Saturday...hopefully my ankle gets better:/ I also plan to continuing working on the physics lab which includes all of us throwing a football to see how size, weight and height factor into how far the ball goes.
